Originally we were going to walk to accommodation from the train station since it was just next door. But our bus drive Veli-Matti was so enthusiastic to meet us that he came and picked us up from the station. After settling in and a shower we were ready to start our day in Rovaniemi. Veli-Matti took us around Rovaniemi, his home city before a break for some much needed lunch.

And since we were in Rovaniemi, well, we just couldn’t not to go and meet the Santa Claus! So, off to the Santa Village at the Arctic Circle we were. We met the big man himself (and what a magnificent beard he has, too!). We happened to meet Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer as well, and decided to show him a bit of the world.

After some fun with skidoos it was time for the everyone’s favourite bonding experience: the karaoke.
